Track Information
As the French prepare to take over the dance world, new UK-based dance label 32 Bit Records begin a journey into the darkest depths of techno. The debut release comes from Parisien duo David K and Varoslav.
David K is recognized as one of the most in-demand producers and DJs in the world right now. The self-styled “minimal booty banger under pressure” has recently released on Sven Vath’s Cocoon imprint and is a regular at DC10. He collaborates with Dan Genacia under the moniker U & I and has recently had tracks included in compilations for DJ Mag here in the UK.
The release marks the debut outing for the very promising fellow Parisien Varoslav. Aside from having sound engineering qualifications, he is emerging as a creative and competent DJ, having rocked bars & clubs across Paris and played alongside the likes of Tiefschwarz, David K, Phonique (Poker Flat) and Phil Weeks. Stay tuned for much more from this guy as he is set to release a 3 Track EP on 32 Bit later this year.
Peace in Gypsie is glitchy, minimalist, melancholic techno at it’s finest. Dark drums, blippy synths and the deepest, most captivating bass line you’ll year this year combine with the sensual vocal hook from DJ Instant to rock your dancefloors til the early hours. Tight production, a big sound, but yet with subtle creative use of effects make this something very special and something you will be playing for months to come.
The Ghetto Mix shows another side to these two. Enigmatic, atmospheric and with interweaved vocals, it will take your dance floor to a level of sexual excitement you wouldn’t normally see outside the bedroom!
Don’t miss this one!
